Everyday Cooling, after exercise: (No ice packs required) Use for 10-20 minutes after exercise. Re-wet if necessary to prolong cooling time or use on other legs. Timings vary.
Deep-Tissue Treatment, injury recovery: (Use Cold Packs) Use for 10-20 minutes directly on/closest to the injury, two or three times a day. Remove Cold Packs after 15 minutes or when they are no longer cold to touch. Follow with 20 minute cooling process if necessary. Timings vary.
For Everyday Cooling:
(1) Undo 3 fastening straps and submerge boots fully in cold water.
(2) *important* Remove from water and shake vigorously. (this activates the cooling material)
(3) Ensure legs are clean and wrap the Coolboots around any two legs.
(4) In warm weather: Remove after 20 minutes and inspect temperature. If boots are beginning to warm, repeat process.
(5) Cold packs provided are entirely optional.
For Deep-Cooling / Injury Rehabilitation:
(1) Freeze ice packs prior to use.
(2) Slide Ice packs into boots prior to fitting and follow steps above.
(3) Position boot on the area of the leg you are looking to support with deep-cooling.
NOTE: When using the Cold Packs, it is an advantage for the boot to not completely surround the leg. This allows for ambient body heat to 'escape' the boot. The boot does not need to entirely wrap around the leg when providing deep-tissue cooling. Ideally the top of the boot will overlap slightly so the horse benefits from the bio-resonance technology. Position the Cold Pack on the area of the leg you are looking to support with deep-cooling.
Using EQU StreamZ Coolboots on a horse with a heart condition
Seek medical advice before using StreamZ Technology on a horse fitted with a pacemaker, or a previously diagnosed heart condition.
Using EQU StreamZ Coolboots on a horse with sensitive skin
The webbing on the Coolboots uses Hypo-Allergenic & Antibacterial, however, it is advised to inspect your horses legs when fitting any new tack for the first time. Please note that EQU StreamZ Coolboots are entirely neoprene-free.
Using EQU StreamZ Coolboots on a horse with PPDID/Cushings
If your horse has been previously diagnosed with severe Cushings then you may want to speak with a vet prior to use as any new treatment . including the boots, can lead to an immune response.
StreamZ are a complementary device and should never replace prescribed medications or treatments. As with prescribed medications, StreamZ does not offer any guarantees for the intended purpose of use.
Using EQU StreamZ Coolboots on a horse with Chronic Progressive Lymphoedema (CPL)
Seek medical advice before using StreamZ Coolboots on a horse diagnosed with Chronic Progressive Lymphoedema (CPL). A horse CPL should avoid cooling its legs, as applying reducing leg temperatures can impede the lymphatic system and worsen the condition by hindering lymph flow.
For stable use only
The Coolboots should be removed when riding and are for stable use only.
Do not use in turnout. Our horse bands are suitable for 24x7 use including turnout.
Using the bands for up to 1 hour
Do not use the boots for longer than 60 minutes if you are using for cooling purposes.
The Coolboots are suitable for long term-use if you are not looking for cooling effects, ensure you remove the Cold Packs if leaving on for longer than 60 minutes
Cleaning the boots
It is advised that the boots are washed as often as possible using only cold water and soap only.
Please note: Two pockets within each boot hold Streamz bio-resonance strips, required for assembly. They do not need to be removed at any stage. If Streamz strips are misplaced then this is entirely out of the control of StreamZ and are not available to purchase separately.
Storing the bands (when not in use)
To ensure the long-term effectiveness of your StreamZ technology, avoid placing StreamZ products directly against traditional magnetic devices. Direct contact with standard magnets can interfere with and potentially damage the unique StreamZ polarisation process, making the technology less effective.
StreamZ products can safely be used alongside other magnetic or therapeutic devices, but they should be stored separately when not in use to maintain optimal performance and product longevity.

Coolboot Usage Guide
Everyday Cooling (up to 20 mins) - after exercise/injury recovery
For optimal performance after exercise:
Once applied correctly, the boots provide sustained cooling, which will vary depending on ambient temperature and environmental conditions. When the boots start to lose their cooling effect, your horse has typically received the full benefit needed for everyday post-exercise cooling. In most cases, the cooling effect lasts 10–20 minutes.
To maintain their effectiveness, you can re-wet the boots while in use. In hotter climates or during peak summer, this can be repeated as often as needed to ensure continuous cooling.
For everyday post-exercise relief, a single application is usually sufficient. When used to aid recovery after an injury, multiple applications within 24 hours may be beneficial. Most veterinarians recommend two to three applications per day for optimal results when supporting injuries.
Rehabilitation Cooling (up to 60 mins) - Reacting to an injury or medical condition
For everyday post-exercise use, a single application is usually enough. For injury recovery, most veterinarians recommend 2–3 applications per day of 15–20 minutes each.

Cooling versus Ice
For years, traditional ice boots have been a staple within equine care, a method commonly used to reduce heat in the horses legs after exercise.
Just as many equestrians look to cool down their horse directly after exercise using cold water, others look towards technologies such as ice boots. In sports horses, simply using cold water is not adequate so many owners look towards tack and technologies aimed at reducing the horses temperature.
Traditional ice boots do have their limitations, some requiring electricity to charge them and many requiring a freezer to freeze the ice packs - not always possible when at an event or away from home.
Ice used in traditional horse tack can lead to 'ice shock' and poses risks of 'ice burn'.
Ice by nature does not stay cold for long, particularly when placed against a horses leg. This can lead to some ice boots actually increasing heat in the horses legs once the packs have melted.

Ok, I have to say they are expensive and worth every penny! We’ve been using them in winter which seems a bit weird but with mud fever, wet soggy ground and difficult going it’s actually as bad as hard ground summer. These are dead easy to use - cold in a flash and easy to keep clean. They come with ice packs which I guess you can use but we use the soak and splash way which isas it sounds, soak in water splash it off and put it on the horses. It’s clever easy and they’ve (touch equine wood!) really helped a couple who had field injuries. We have one pair on the yard and they fit all 11 horses who range from 2-20 and 11.2-16.3. It’s a bit of a full leg warmer for the 11.2 but a total game changer. We are saving up for another pair to take out on the road - highly recommend ☺️

Absolutely love these cool boots. Super easy to put on and the flexible ice pack keeps its flexibility when inserting into the
boot and wrapping around the leg. After each application I then take it home, pop the ice pack back in the freezer so its ready to use again next morning. 10/10

Great stayed cooler than outside temp on a warm day
I tried these in the float on a warm day without the ice pack in them as knew it was going to be a decent float trip. Upon arriving the boots were still cool and his legs definitely cooler but not freezing as I wanted. Very happy

The boots are great with how quick and easy they are to put on and their flexible design makes them easy to mould around joints. They stay cool for a good amount of time and cool the leg quickly.
