Suitability & Health Warnings
To ensure our products are right for you or your animal, please review our core terms and health advisories below before finalising your order.
Bio-resonance technology is a non-invasive, complementary wellness approach. It can safely be worn alongside prescription medications and other treatments but it should never be used as a replacement for veterinary care.
1. Important Health & Medical Warnings
EQU StreamZ Horse Bands
DO NOT APPLY EQU StreamZ bands to a horse with PSSM, CPL, a Heart Condition/Pacemaker, Cushing’s (PPID), or Hypersensitive Skin without first reviewing the health warnings outlined below.
Health Warnings & Product Suitability Guidelines
At StreamZ, animal welfare is our top priority. While our unique, non-invasive technology is safe for the vast majority of horses, certain pre-existing medical conditions require caution, veterinary consultation, or specific application adjustments.
Please review our official guidance on specific equine health conditions below prior to purchasing or fitting EQU StreamZ bands.
Using EQU StreamZ on a Horse with a Heart Condition or Pacemaker
Crucial Safety Warning: If your horse has a previously diagnosed heart condition, or is fitted with a pacemaker, seek professional veterinary advice before introducing StreamZ technology.
The Science: Traditional static magnetic boots create a harsh pulsating effect from the face of the magnet, which can potentially interfere with the electronic rhythm of cardiac pacemakers. While StreamZ uses a unique 360-degree non-invasive resonance technology rather than traditional static magnets, we strictly advise consulting your vet first to ensure total safety.
(Note: Contrary to popular belief, traditional static magnetic devices have never been scientifically proven to increase blood flow.)
Using EQU StreamZ on a Horse with PSSM (Polysaccharide Storage Myopathy)
PSSM is a complex metabolic genetic disorder. While most riders know it primarily affects muscle function, veterinary science shows it also significantly compromises the horse's skin, tissue integrity, and overall cellular sensitivity.
Horses suffering from PSSM are highly predisposed to skin hypersensitivity, rapid sweat scalding, and friction sores. What a healthy horse can wear for hours without issue can unfortunately cause an immediate skin reaction or rub on a PSSM-compromised horse.
Our Guidance: EQU StreamZ bands are suitable for horses with PSSM, but they require strict monitoring during first use.
- Check the skin thoroughly after the first 1–2 hours.
- If your horse is highly sensitive, consider wrapping the leg with a protective layer first, or remove the bands entirely if a reaction occurs.
Using EQU StreamZ on a Horse with CPL (Chronic Progressive Lymphedema)
Chronic Progressive Lymphedema (CPL) alters the tissue structure, fluid drainage, and skin integrity of a horse's lower legs. Because the equine lymphatic system is complex, individual horses can respond very differently to supportive therapies.
Due to the compromised circulation unique to CPL, any form of material, leg wrap, or boot can inadvertently trap moisture or apply pressure that temporarily worsens swelling. This is a reaction to physical leg coverage, not the StreamZ technology itself, and could apply to any product/material placed on the horse.
Our Guidance: We recommend using EQU StreamZ bands cautiously and under strict supervision on horses with CPL.
- The Positive: We have received excellent feedback from owners who found the bands helped reduce leg filling associated with CPL, edema, and windgalls.
- The Risk: A small number of cases reported an increase in swelling after introduction.
- Protocol: Monitor your horse closely during the initial period. If any increase in filling or swelling is observed, remove the bands immediately and discontinue use.
Using EQU StreamZ on a Horse with PPID / Cushings Disease
If your horse has been diagnosed with severe Cushing’s Disease (PPID), we advise speaking with your veterinarian prior to introducing the bands, as advanced hormonal imbalances can affect skin thickness and healing rates.
Managing Sensitive Skin and Neoprene Allergies
Some animals—particularly greys (white-haired horses) or horses with allergic contact dermatitis—may experience sensitivity to neoprene resting directly against their skin.
'Special-Edition' Outer Sleeves are available on our website; they are neoprene-free and contain hypoallergenic and antibacterial materials. They have shown to be suitable for horses even with hypersensitive skin issues.
Our Guidance:
- Monitor Early: Monitor the skin closely within the first 1 to 24 hours. If you notice any discomfort, redness, or skin discolouration, remove the bands.
- See our 'Special Edition Sensitive-Sleeves' if you are unsure.
- The Vet-Wrap Alternative: You can easily remove the active StreamZ strips from their neoprene sleeves. The strips can then be wrapped safely around the horse's leg inside a standard breathable bandage or vet-wrap, bypassing the neoprene entirely.
- The Tape Method: Alternatively, medical barrier tape can be applied to the horse's legs prior to fitting the bands to avoid direct skin contact.
EQU StreamZ Coolboots
Heart Conditions & Implanted Pacemakers
- CRITICAL WARNING: Seek professional medical or veterinary advice before using StreamZ technology on a horse fitted with an electronic pacemaker or diagnosed with a pre-existing cardiac condition.
- The Science: Traditional static magnetic boots create a harsh, localised pulsating field from the face of their magnets, which can potentially interfere with the electronic rhythm of cardiac pacemakers. While StreamZ utilises a unique, 360-degree non-invasive resonance technology rather than traditional static magnets, we strictly enforce a safety-first approach.
Chronic Progressive Lymphedema (CPL)
- CRITICAL SUITABILITY WARNING: Seek professional veterinary advice before using StreamZ Coolboots on a horse diagnosed with Chronic Progressive Lymphedema (CPL).
- The Clinical Risk: Horses suffering from CPL should strictly avoid artificial leg cooling. Lowering the temperature of the lower limbs can severely impede the equine lymphatic system, hindering vital lymph flow and inadvertently worsening the condition.
PPID / Cushing’s Disease
-
The Guidance: If your horse has been previously diagnosed with severe Cushing’s Disease (PPID), we advise speaking with your veterinarian prior to use. Introducing any new management method or therapy can potentially stimulate an immune response in hormonally compromised animals.
Dermal Hypersensitivity & Skin Inspection
-
The Material: The webbing utilised on EQU StreamZ Coolboots is fully Hypoallergenic and Antibacterial. Please note that Coolboots are completely neoprene-free.
- Our Guidance & Protocol: Even when using hypoallergenic materials, it is highly advised to thoroughly inspect your horse's legs when fitting any new tack or leg wear for the first time. Check the skin under the boot within the first 1 to 24 hours of use to monitor for any localised friction, sweat scalding, or underlying sensitivity.
YOU StreamZ for Humans
Heart Conditions & Implanted Pacemakers
- CRITICAL WARNING: Magnetic and resonance therapies should be strictly avoided by anyone previously diagnosed with a medical heart condition or fitted with an electronic pacemaker without seeking professional medical advice beforehand.
- The Science: Traditional static magnetic devices create a harsh, localised pulsating field that can potentially interfere with the electronic rhythm and pacing of cardiac medical implants.
- Our Technology: While StreamZ utilises a unique, 360-degree non-invasive resonance technology rather than traditional static magnets, we strictly enforce a safety-first approach. Do not use this product if a diagnosed heart condition or pacemaker is present without prior clearance from your cardiologist or physician.
Dermal Hypersensitivity (Silicone & Neoprene)
- The Condition: Some individuals may experience localised skin sensitivities, irritation, or an allergic reaction (such as allergic contact dermatitis) when placing silicone or neoprene materials directly against the skin.
- Our Guidance & Protocol:Monitor Early: Closely monitor the application area within the first 1 to 24 hours of wearing the product.
- Action Required: If you notice any discomfort, persistent itching, redness, or skin discolouration, remove the product immediately. If irritation persists, discontinue use completely.
- The Sock Alternative: If you have sensitive skin but wish to continue using our ankle bands, they do not need direct skin contact to function. The bands can be worn comfortably and effectively placed over a sock.
DOG StreamZ for dogs
Pre existing conditions which may require attention include sensitivity issues and heart conditions. Please also be aware the collars are not developed for lead attachment and do not have a breakaway clasp so the collar should be removed to prevent catching or choking hazards.
2. Proper Fitment & Wear (Avoiding Friction)
Like breaking in a brand-new pair of leather boots, snug-fitting supportive gear requires correct application. Each product has individual usage instructions.
3. Return & Refund Policy
Due to strict hygiene, bio-security, and safety regulations across our product ranges, our return boundaries are absolute:
-
Unused Items: Full refunds are gladly issued for 100% unused products in their original packaging within our standard return window.
-
Used Items: We do not issue refunds or accept returns for used items where a user or animal has experienced a skin rub, sore, or biological reaction. These events are driven by individual sensitivity and application error, not manufacturing flaws.
